Garton King Coronavirus Policy – 25th March 2020
As a company, we are taking the Covid-19 very seriously whilst doing our utmost to ensure continuing service to our customers. Therefore in accordance with Government instructions and like all non-essential retail businesses we have closed our showrooms with immediate effect and our offices and warehouse are closing today, in order to adhere to Government guidelines and also protect all staff and customers. However, we are in the process of making arrangements to maintain an emergency service to our customers which is outlined below, and will also be maintaining an ongoing enquiry, sales and administration department.
Our North Street office will be closed by 5 pm Wednesday 25th March, but we will have a team of staff working from home throughout the crisis during working hours Monday to Friday 9 am – 5 pm. They will be monitoring and replying to all emails on firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com and all calls to 01392 254945 and 01392 549539 will be diverted to key individuals for all sales, service and repair calls and enquiries. If however you ring and no one answers after 6 rings, please leave a voicemail and we will get back to you within 24 hours. Out of hours, the phone will go straight to voicemail and we will get back to you. All voicemails will be closely monitored. Our Engineering team will continue to be on call for essential emergency work such as repairs/breakdowns and priority will be given to vulnerable people who have no other source of cooking or heating. All of our engineers are carrying alcohol hand sanitiser and will wear gloves and masks in the course of their work. Please be very conscious of social distancing during their visits.
We are acting at all times in accordance with the latest Government and NHS advice and therefore have no choice but to action the above.
We would also ask any customers who have emergency essential work arranged but who find that they have to self-isolate because of possible infection to inform us so that we do not send our engineers out because they would not be able to complete any work in such circumstances. You can re-arrange a date for such work after the period of self-isolation and UK lockdown has ended.
